Christmas Gifts For Whisky Lovers
The ultimate gift for someone who loves whisky has to be Temperance Club membership! Gift a Temperance Club membership to the whisky enthusiast in your life and it is a gift that will live on for years to come. The lightly-peated, single malt spirit for the first Temperance Club bottling was distilled and laid down in mid-2018 and bottled on 19th September 2019 and so all new members will receive the first bottling immediately. Find out more about the Temperance Club here.
Get a taster of our whiskys to come with our Single Malt Tasting Set. For just £22 you get 30ml bottles of three of our Malt Spirits, along with tasting notes and a tasting glass packaged up to make the perfect gift.
To celebrate the release of our first single malt 12-month aged spirit, we’re also launching some special whisky tours this month too. The first is on 16 November and tickets have already been selling fast. If you would like to gift this to someone, we have two further dates on 18 January and 15 February which would make the perfect gift. Book your place online now.
Since releasing the Shining Cliff Spiced Gin, it has become a firm favourite, with bottles flying off the shelves. Spiced Gin lovers will be really excited about our new limited edition Shining Cliff Winter Gin, which is our spiced gin that has been aged in a charred oak, ex-bourbon cask for additional spice and wood notes to give a stunning twist to the flavour.
Another new limited edition flavour launched in November 2019 is our Riverside Gin, produced in collaboration with the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust and inspired by Himalayan Balsam, which is the scourge of our local waterways, but that provided the inspiration for this refreshingly flavoured gin that balances a creamy note offered by the Himalayan Balsam seed heads with a fresh Water Mint flavour.
New for Winter 2019 we have worked with the iconic David Mellor Designs in Hathersage to bring you the elegant Embassy Gin Glass, which will be available to buy direct from our pop-up shop from the 23rd of November. If you know a gin connoisseur, they will delight in sipping their favourite tipple from one of these glasses.
Christmas Gifts under £20
If you would like to nail your colours to the White Peak mast, we have a range of merchandise from our crew neck t-shirts (£16.95), leather keyrings (£12) and baseball caps (£10.95) to our smart Bags for Life (£5).
New for the gifting season we have also curated a small range of carefully chosen gin, whisky and cocktail books that will be available to buy direct from our pop-up shop in Ambergate, and would make the perfect stocking fillers! Take a look at what we have in our online shop for more Christmas gift ideas.
You can find out more about what we do at White Peak Distillery by signing up to join us for a tour of the distillery where, alongside our copper whisky stills, you will meet ‘Betty’ our 600 litre spirits still used for our award-wining Shining Cliff Gins. You will also learn about the vision that drove us to set up the very first whisky distillery in the Peak District. Tour vouchers cost just £12 and can be taken at any time.

Where is the White Peak Distillery Shop?
Well! We are glad you asked! In early November we were hit by flooding caused by very heavy rain which caused the banks of the River Derwent to burst. We have had to set up a temporary pop up shop on the opposite side of the river, which is where we will be until the bridge over to the distillery has been assessed for damage and repaired. Read the full story here, but if you are planning to visit us our pop up shop will be up and running from 23 November, so keep an eye out for the signage when you turn into the Wire Works from the A6.
