Come & Visit The New White Peak Distillery Pop Up Shop
Following the flooding of White Peak Distillery earlier this month when the River Derwent burst its banks we have opened a pop up shop that is open from this weekend.
If you have been following the news, you will know that November 2019 has been a grim time for many businesses that are located along the River Derwent in Derbyshire. White Peak Distillery was also hit by the flooding and although we had our share of flood water, our building, stock and team came out largely unscathed. However, the bridge over to the distillery was badly damaged by trees that were rushed downriver during the floods and has had to be taken out of use. This has meant that visitors can no longer drive to our distillery shop (although you can still walk in from Shining Cliff Woods if you’re out on foot).
We’ve had to move quickly, and over the last 2 weeks have been busy establishing a new pop up shop which is opening on 23 November, fully stocked for Christmas gifts!
The White Peak Distillery Pop Up Shop is fully stocked and ready to supply you with Christmas gifts!
Where is the White Peak Distillery Pop-Up Shop?
The pop up shop is on the same site at the former Wire Works but located on the opposite side of the river, which means you don’t need a bridge to get to here! The pop up will likely be in place for several months whilst the bridge is assessed for damage and repaired. Read the full story here, but if you are planning to visit us, you can pull off the A6 as normal into the Wire Works and then follow the signs to the left hand corner of the main car park.
Click & Collect Customers
We’ve put together a Christmas Gift Ideas article to help inspire you this Christmas. All items can be bought online and we ship across the UK. If you live locally, you can also ‘click & collect’ by choosing this as your delivery option at checkout. We can have your order ready within 60 minutes of ordering, so just come to the pop-up shop to pick up your order.
Visiting us for a Distillery Tour?
If you are booked on a distillery tour, we ask all visitors to arrive and sign in at the pop-up shop 15 – 20 minutes before your advertised tour start time. We will then get you safely across to the distillery, taking you first over a covered footbridge before transporting you the final 300 metres to the distillery; some extra insights into the internal workings of the former wire works!
