Tasting Notes Fruit cake, cherry lozenges, and toffee apples on the nose, with flavours of Sichuan pepper, hot cross buns, and marzipan on the palate with a leathery bonfire toffee finish with hints of eucalyptus.
Nose Royal icing, cinnamon, fruit cake, toffee apple, pepper, cherry lozenges.
Palate Sichuan peppercorns, hot cross buns, sweet almond.
Finish Leather, wood, eucalyptus, cherry pie filling, bonfire toffee, dark chocolate.
Double Oak Port, the first Wire Works release of 2023, is a lightly peated single malt which has spent similar amounts of time maturing in first fill bourbon barrels and port casks . A limited release of 1321 bottles, bottled at 52.2% ABV.
