Finish: Apple crumble, murray mints, lime pickle, white pepper

Pure, unadulterated Wire Works Whisky, Bourbon Barrel is a vatting of lightly-peated single malt, matured exclusively in premium ex-bourbon barrels. Ex-bourbon barrels are considered a relatively ‘inactive’ cask type and so shine a light on our distillery’s unique spirit character of which we’re proud.

Bourbon Barrel is the second member of the Provenance Core Range. Each release embodies our philosophy — a flavour-before-cask approach to whisky-making, rooted in a deep respect for Derbyshire’s industrial heritage and legacy of innovation. Every drop is made with a commitment to full life-cycle provenance at the Wire Works, with mashing, fermentation, distillation and maturation all carried out onsite.
