Tasting Notes
Dried fruits – marzipan – milk chocolate
Nose: Lavender, subtle smoke, candied ginger, jelly babies, murray mints, sweet almond, crème brulee, cinnamon buns.
Palate: Icing sugar, strawberry laces, dried mango, peaches and cream, spearmint, Medjool dates, yogurt coated raisins, marzipan.
Finish: Ginger nut biscuits, mace, sage, chilli flakes, demerara sugar.
Wire Works Amontillado Sherry is a dual maturation of our lightly- peated spirit, initially matured in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels from Heaven Hills, and finished in fresh sherry quarter casks. Amontillado is a drier, nuttier style of sherry which integrates well with the fruity-sweet and gentle smoke flavours in our single malt whisky.
